Column: Keep the light on for GE workers and reinvest in manufacturing industry

The GE Lighting factory in Bucyrus, Ohio, has made it through 13 U.S. presidential administrations, and survived two recessions and a global pandemic.

But now its future is in jeopardy.

I am proud to be a third-generation employee of GE Lighting. My grandpas, my dad, my sister, my husband and two daughters, my aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws … together, we have all given just under 500 years of loyal service to this company, and we demand to see that loyalty repaid.
